Family-owned Conserverie Gonidec in Concarneau, Brittany, operating since 1959. Les Mouettes d’Arvor is their sardine label. The annual vintage tin has a new design each year and ages well.
Each year’s catch, purse-seiners fishing June through July off the Brittany coast, is processed same-day, hand-gutted, then packed in extra virgin olive oil. The tin design changes every year, making them collectible as well as edible. The vintage format ages well.
